Dear reader,
We had a case trying to help a UK resident against Betway’s UK company WIN Technologies.
Instead of taking a solicitor, we added the Gambling Commission as the 2nd Defendant.
In short:
Betway closed a UK residents account, rejected to verify himself without any reasons and by this stole all his money
Complaints were sent to the Gambling Commission
The involved person gave up his hope to see his money and passed over the details to us
We opened a court case
Gambling Commission instead of helping to resolve the issue, hired an external 3rd party law firm to make us pay high court fees and solicitor fees
Even the UK court couldn’t look into the nature of the claim and instead found legal reasons why the case should be dismissed
Result: £1000 Deposit has not returned, £500 Winnings have not been returned, court fees are lost, and also have to pay legal expenses of both the Gambling Commission and Win Technologies > £1250 each = £2500 are the fees we need to help for submitting a simple Claim at MoneyClaim Online asking for justice.
This proves that an ordinary person without a solicitor can not accomplish anything.
The fees of a solicitor for a case like this will start from 3 thousand pounds up (based on our experience).
This is exactly what we have been telling you all the time: Gambling industry knows this and therefore uses creating complicated offshore structures and you can not fight them at all. And, even worse, the Gambling Commission knows this and keeps ignores is.
The question is: is Gambling Commission covering them?
Today we have sent an open letter to the UK’s Government and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. The recipients: The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the Conservative Party, the Labour Party.
Who will help you?
